Aneurisma de arteria ciática persistente
RESUMEN
La arteria ciática persistente es una rara variante del principal aporte sanguíneo de los miembros inferiores, ya que esta arteria debería degenerar espontáneamente durante la 6ta semana de desarrollo embriológico y permitir el desarrollo de la arteria femoral, la persistencia de esta arteria primitiva durante la etapa adulta, presenta algunas complicaciones como aneurismas por el recorrido que presenta y posibles alteraciones en la estructura celular de esta arteria. En esta ocasión se describe el caso de una paciente femenina que acude con signos de isquemia aguda en miembro inferior derecho y al realizar estudios de imagen se describe la causa de la isquemia como embolización distal de un aneurisma ubicado en la región glútea derecha con recorrido anómalo a lo esperado, estudios posteriores permiten la conclusión de Arteria ciática persistente con aneurisma que sigue su historia natural hacia trombosis del mismo en los meses subsiguientes y flujo del miembro dado por colaterales, manteniendo la viabilidad del miembro afectado.

ABSTRACT
The persistent sciatic artery is a rare variant of the main blood supply of the lower limbs, since this artery should degenerate spontaneously during the 6th week of embryological development and allow the development of the femoral artery, the persistence of this primitive artery during adulthood , presents some complications such as aneurysms due to the route it presents and possible alterations in the cellular structure of this artery. On this occasion, the case of a female patient who comes with signs of acute ischemia in the right lower limb is described, and when performing imaging studies, the cause of the ischemia is described as distal embolization of an aneurysm located in the right gluteal region with anomalous path. As expected, subsequent studies allow the conclusion of persistent sciatic artery with aneurysm that follows its natural history towards thrombosis of the same in the following months and flow of the limb due to collaterals, maintaining the capacity of the affected limb.
